One sourdough roll on top of the rest of the pan of rolls.

Have you ever wondered if sourdough baking is right for you? Well, I’m here to tell you that I think it’s right for everyone!

Sure, it takes some time to get your starter going and educate yourself about all the ins and outs of baking with it. But the rewards are well worth the effort!

To get started, you’ll want to make yourself a starter. You can refer to my How to Make a Sourdough Starter From Scratch post to get started (ha!).

A great first recipe to make with your starter is a Dutch Baby/German Pancake. Then you could move on to Banana Bread (this is a no-wait recipe), pancakes, and waffles.

Once you master those, you can move on to French Bread, Pull Apart Rolls, Sandwich Bread, and Artisan Bread.

For desserts, you could make my rhubarb shortcake recipe, or a Spiced Pear Pie (with a naturally fermented pie crust, of course!).

I hope these recipes are helpful for helping you on your sourdough journey. It really is a rewarding skill to learn (duh, you get delicious baked goods out of it!).

And if you have any questions at all, feel free to send me an email, leave a comment, or drop me a DM on Instagram! I’d be happy to try to troubleshoot with you, or just get really excited with you about how amazing it tastes.

Make sure to sign up for email updates so you can get notified when I share a new recipe!
