What I Ate Wednesday (5-22-19)

Time for another What I Ate Wednesday!

I decided to get out of my comfort zone again and film a vlog of our day, which will be at the end of this post.

Breakfast:

Scrambled eggs fried in bacon grease with green onions and a side of homemade kimchi.

I also made myself some unsweetened protein cocoa with collagen peptides, milk, and cream.

It was a gloomy, rainy day, so the cocoa seemed appropriate.

Lunch:

For the first part of my lunch, I had some leftover fried rice with gochujang and butter. Yum!

I also taste tested some sourdough shortcakes. This first one was more like a dinner roll than a shortcake. It was delicious, just not what I was going for.

The second one I made was much more like a shortcake. I just under cooked it. Oops! Look out for a sourdough shortcake recipe coming soon…

Supper:

We had a “tea party” for supper with egg salad sandwiches on top of homemade sourdough bread (recipe from Farmhouse on Boone), sourdough strawberry shortcakes with whipped cream, jalapeno stuffed olives, and peppermint tea with cream. Delicious!

Snack:

Of course I got hungry later that evening (nursing mom problems), so I had a snack of pork rinds, homemade kimchi, sweet red cheddar cheese, and gouda cheese.

So that’s what I ate!

Here’s a vlog of our day:
