- These cookies are pretty soft and crumbly. Please to not over bake unless you like your cookies on the firmer side.
- In addition to the salt the sucanat and demerara provide a bit of crunch as well.
- I did, of course, cut back on the sugar a bit. If you like your cookies pretty sweet you can go ahead and add 3/4 cup each of the sugars.
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- scant 2/3 cup sucanat
- scant 2/3 cup demerara
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon whole milk
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup dark chocolate chip
- Coarse sea salt, for sprinkling
Girl, I agree with you. Sometimes you just don't have the time for everything to be perfect, and honestly these days phones take pretty good pictures. My husband's galaxy blows me away with the pictures it takes. So yeah, I say go for it.
These cookies look pretty easy. Usually I buy the rare sweet at a bakery because I work full time and honestly don't want to bake cookies on the weekend, but I might actually try these for real. My husband would love them so much!
A casual Friday post sounds fun, especially if it means more posts–I enjoy anything you write or photograph.
Casual friday really sounds nice! I say go for it. In the meantime I really have to try these out because I've been thinking about them ever since you posted that photo on instagram.
Enjoy your sunday!
These sound amazing! Chocolate chip cookies are my favorite and anything peanut butter makes me happy, so these make me downright giddy! My first batch was finished within minutes. I am planning to make a large batch this time and to store them in Infinity Jars so that they stay fresh for a long time. https://infinityjars.com/collections/screw-top-jars
Best cookies ever!!!
Thank you! ❤❤❤
