Now, I definitely believe in indulging for special occasions: if someone is serving something completely unhealthy at a family gathering, I go ahead and enjoy it. You’ve gotta live a little. But I also enjoy real-food versions of unhealthy treats (e.g. pancakes from scratch vs boxed pancake mix). They generally taste better in my experience, and don’t make you feel gross afterwards.
