OR: I Need Help, But PLEASE Don’t Take Away My Kitchen Babies!
There are certain items in my kitchen that I *might* have a problem with collecting (please don’t look at all of my (zillions of) bowls…). BUT there are some kitchen tools that are actually handy to have multiples of.
Take spatulas (or rubber scrapers, as my husband calls them) for instance: I’m always getting them dirty and needing a new one for various tasks – scraping batter into a pan, getting the last bits out of a jam jar, or removing grease from a pan.
I think I *finally* have enough spatulas, though I would like to upgrade a few.
BTW, that adorable utensil holder is from World Market.
I hate to pick favorites among my babies, but this spatula is THE BEST EVER. Reuben agrees. It’s the one that gets used first. The shape and size is just perfect for so many tasks. We got it from West Elm years ago, and sadly they no longer sell it. I would buy 2 more if I could!
Another thing I like to have more than one of: measuring spoons! Sometimes I make multiple recipes a day, and one set of measuring spoons will get dirty. I’m almost always on a time crunch, so it’s nice to have a fresh set ready to go.
I could actually downsize my measuring spoon collection (I guess).
If I had to choose my favorite, I’d have to say the long spice measuring spoons. I love that they have 1/8 and 3/4 measures!
Ah, spatulas, how I love thee.
These are THE ONLY thing to use for making eggs (scrambled, fried, omelette, you name it!). I detest plastic turners.
Now, I would actually like to own one or two more of these. They get used up so quickly, and egg is so hard to clean off of anything. Have any recommendations for a great stainless steel spatula?
So there are my 3 must-have kitchen items. What do YOU like to have multiples of?
NOTE: Some links are affiliate. The utensil holder was purchased using a gift card from World Market. All opinions are my own, of course!

I love whisks, too! I have a jar of those as well. :D I'm so glad I finally broke down and bought some mini whisks - very handy for mixing up small amounts of things. The spiral whisk you mentioned sounds useful as well - I may need to pick up one of those. :D

My favorite tools are whisks. I don't know the most common name of my favorite one, but Mr. Google calls it either a spiral whisk or a vinaigrette whisk if you want to see a picture. Long wire handle ending in a U-shape, with coil around the U. It is great for omelets, sauces, dressings. I love it.

Mmhmm - I'm addicted to blue and red. :D I might need more measuring cups...especially when/if we have more kids...

Yes, I have two sets of measuring cups! You should totally go for more spatulas - I think it's worth it. I "suffered" for too long without them. :)

I love that container full of red and blue spatulas. I may have to go buy more, and I already have plenty ... just not that color. :) I'm with you on the measuring spoons, I'm glad I have four sets. And I also have three sets of measuring cups. So measuring cups are my vote for kitchen tools you can never have too many of.
